Victoria Cortis (nee Bezzina)

Vicky was born in the north east of Malta in the typical quaint village of Gharghur. She studied at the Malta Institute of Tourism Studies and has obtained her tourist guide licence in 2005. She previously worked as an official heritage Malta museums guide and at the same time also has held the position of Guest Relations Officer at St James Cavalier, Malta’s Centre for Creativity in Valletta. Vicky regularly holds informative and entertaining tours for children on school trips, foreign language students, individual tourists and cruise liner visitors. She has also guided important delegations of business people, ministers and other dignitaries. Vicky works in various aspects of the tourism industry including step-on guide, silent guide, tour manager, itinerary planner, language interpreter, and airport host.She often offers theme ideas to tour operators and travel agencies. Recently, she participated
in a tourism-related EU funded project, consisting of an intensive course equivalent to the level of a Diploma in Tourism Management.
